## Explainable Difficulty Engine

Every song is scored against four biomechanical factors:
1. **Tine Span**: The physical distance between the lowest and highest notes across the 17-key alternating scale.
2. **Thumb Leaps**: Punishes jumps of 3 or more tines on the same hand.
3. **Alternation**: Measures natural alternating thumb movement (L-R-L-R) versus awkward same-thumb repetition.
4. **Repetition**: Rewards recurring melodic motifs that simplify memorization.
